St John’s Garden Open Day
You are invited to St Johns Garden open day on Saturday 13th June between 1.00 and 4.00 p.m. at St Johns Church.
The event is to showcase all the work done on the garden in St Johns over the last few years. A huge amount of work has been done by our volunteers and the gardens have been transformed so much so that for the last four years we have been awarded the highest category in the RHS annual In Bloom competition.
A new memorial garden has been created, with areas where you can just sit and enjoy the space and the planting. Many families in the parish have donated roses, in memory of their deceased family members.
You are invited to join us on the day. There will be plenty to do and lots to see. It will be an ideal opportunity to have a family friendly afternoon out, the event is open to everyone.
There will be garden tours for those who are interested, tours of the mosaic can be offered as well
There will be a plant sale , with a wide range of garden plants for sale.
There will be a flower arranging demonstration during the afternoon, giving hints and tips on how to make the best of your flowers.
Most importantly there will be an Official Opening of the Memorial Garden .
There will also be plenty of things for the children to do and make, with lots of craft activities.
There will, of course be refreshments available , cream teas are on the menu so please put the date in your diaries and come along and have a relaxing afternoon, the activities are free the only cost is tea and cake.
